Our Mission and Philosophy

Whenever there has been a need in the world, our Sanatana Dharma ideas have flooded the entire world for the welfare of humanity and guided people from darkness to light through spirituality. Swami Vivekananda has repeatedly urged us to rely on that spirituality to rescue the helpless. The eternal truths of the ancient Upanishads have been presented to us very simply by Thakur Sri Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda through their lives. Based on those truths, Ramakrishna Sevashram, North Rowail is working diligently for the welfare of mankind. We are working for the development of the society by steadfastly following the ideal of life service in Shivjnyan.

Durga Puja Seva Services

During the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja, Ramakrishna Sevashram, North Rowail undertakes various Seva activities to spread joy and compassion among the underprivileged, especially among “Jyanta Durgas” – women embodying the spirit of the Divine Mother. The Sevashram organizes distribution of clothes, blankets, essential rations, and financial assistance to help families celebrate the festival with dignity and comfort. These acts of service reflect the true worship of the Mother by serving Her living forms. Guided by the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, the Sevashram’s Durga Puja Seva blends devotion with service, celebrating the divine through love and compassion for all.

Lakshmijala

Lakshmijala, the rice field, stands as a symbol of divine grace and humble service. The name is inspired by the sacred rice field once gifted to Shri Khudiram Chattopadhyay, the father of Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna, by his friend Sukhlal Goswami—a gesture rooted in friendship, faith, and providence. In the same spirit, Lakshmijala serves as a source of sustenance for the Sevashram’s activities, supporting the preparation of bhog, prasad, and other charitable services. It reflects the Ashram’s ideal of self-reliance through simplicity, blending spirituality with productive labour in harmony with nature.
